Get Involved!
Volunteers
We need your help to make the Festival a success and there are all sorts of ways that you can get involved ...Story to tell? Be interviewed!
We are collecting recorded interviews with people of all ages and background living in the Clay Area. Interviews will be a chance for you to tell us all about living in the Clay Country, family stories, local history or whatever interests you about the area. If you want to become part of our living history archive please get in touch with the Festival Team.Be an interviewer!
Interested in local history? We are looking for volunteers to help us conduct recorded interviews for the Festival and the Cornish Audio Visual Archive.
As well as helping us with this
exciting and interesting project, this can also be an
opportunity to try something different and learn new
skills. You will be given full training on how to
conduct your interviews and a guidance pack is also
available. If you would like to become a volunteer
please contact one of the Festival team or come along
to one of our roadshows.

There may be all sorts of other volunteering opportunities too, from dancers and musicians to fundraisers and administrators. If you can spare some time to help out, we’d love to hear from you.
You can download a full list of the opportunities available here.
Your archives
Maybe you have some old newspapers, photographs, out of print literature or other Clay Country artefacts that you would like to share? Alternatively, perhaps you’d like to become a volunteer researcher and help us find out more about the area’s rich cultural heritage? If so you can get in touch with us either via the website or by bringing your items along to our roadshows. Please note that space is limited and the stall must be appropriate and in-keeping with the general tone of the event and therefore we cannot guarantee we will approve your application.
